Third Annual Conference in Forensic and Pediatric Pathology

“The Controversial, the Subtle and the Obscure”

This three day conference aims to provide Continuing Professional Development/Continuing Medical Education for Forensic Pathologists, Pathologist Assistants/Anatomical Pathology Technologists/Morgue Technicians, Forensic Scientists, Investigating and Regional Coroners, Crown Attorneys, Defence Lawyers, Police Homicide Investigators, Forensic Identification Officers, Crime Scene Examiners and Scenes of Crime Officers.

The educational content of the programme will address controversial topics in forensic pathology, entities with subtle or no findings at post mortem examination and those with uncertain/unknown pathophysiological mechanisms of death in both adult and paediatric forensic pathology, under the thematic title of “The Controversial, the Subtle and the Obscure.” The didactic content of the programme will be delivered by an international faculty of expert speakers of diverse backgrounds, experience and interests from the United Kingdom, the USA, St Lucia and Canada. Gillian Leak is a guest speaker of Dr Alfredo E Walker MB.BS, FRCPath, DMJ (Path), MFFLM, MCSFS, Dip Teach Train Assistant Professor, University of Ottawa, and will present the forensic landscape in the UK since the closure of the Forensic Science Service in 2012.
