As part of this EU project, our body fluid expert Julie Allard made two trips to Ankara, Turkey,
to scope and then deliver two training courses to Advanced Crime Scene Investigators within the Turkish Gendarmerie. The training was provided in conjunction with SCJS and other experts in crime scene investigation and each course was delivered via a series of workshops and lectures over three days, based around case examples. Julie provided an introduction to the forensic investigation of sexual offences and the role of body fluids, DNA profiling and other evidence types.
